Late one night, four guys from Richmond, VA (us!) had a serious craving for a good meal. That craving spawned an idea which soon evolved into a business venture. We hope this venture will transform the way people find and share meals and dining experiences online.

MealNation launched in March 2011 to help local restaurant owners and hungry people connect through an interface we feel is simple, intuitive, and elegant. We like to call these people "MealNation Citizens," and we hope you'll join them!

Users can search for their favorite dish by name, ingredients, or cuisine and browse through results by distance, price, and ratings (just to name a few). They can check out pictures and descriptions provided by restaurateurs , or reviews by other Citizens who tried the same meal. Once you register to become a Citizen, you can also post your own feedback about a meal or restaurant.

On the flip side, restaurants can regularly update their menu options, offer special promotions and coupons through the site, and take advantage of Meal Spotlights on the homepage or e-mail alerts to the growing list of MealNation Citizens in their area.

We've just started cooking up the endless possibilities for MealNation.com and plan to expand our reach across the country. So check it out, tell your friends, and come back often to see the latest additions and features to spice up your MealNation experience!
